What an interesting lady this one is. Lani Lan, or Crazybarbie as she is sometimes called (yes, Crazybarbie, I didn’t make that up), is a Shanghai born actress most famous for her appearance in the 2011 movie “Sex And Zen: Extreme Ecstasy“. She does the pale and elegant look; not so popular in the West, but goes down quite well in China. However even those not into that look will have to admit, Leni Lan isn’t too shabby looking.
Sex and the Zen: Racy title eh? Sex and Zen was marketed as the world’s first 3D erotic film. Not actually true, but who cares. Basically it was a very soft porn film based on a an ancient Chinese text, shot in 3D and also featuring Japanese AV actress, Saori Hara. Shot in Hong Kong, banned in mainland China of course (can’t have the moral fabric of the motherland put as risk by such filth). It’s a clever marketing idea, even if the actually film is almost certainly pants. I’ve never watched it, though leave a comment if you have, I’d love to know if it was worth 2 hours of your life. Troubling to me that virtually every girl featured on this website has had plastic surgery to some extent. Almost all have had their nose done “western style” . Several have had eyelid surgery and the common list of procedures includes lips, chin, breasts, and jaw restructuring.
I live in china and get to see truly beautiful Chinese girls everyday. I appreciate the natural Chinese girls much more than these types. If you put all their head shots beside each other it would remarkable how similar they look to each other because they have all went to a doctor with the same “ideal” look in mind.
Personally I would love to see some girls featured who are still natural and unique.
Several do not even look Chinese to me anymore at all.
Call me naive, call me a Puritan , whatever but I think naturally beautiful Chinese girls are far superior to the cookie cutter versions the modeling industry in china promotes.
K, you make very a couple of very good points mate. Far too many girls in the Chinese modelling industry go for facial surgery that they don’t need, in order to look “more western”. Ridiculously large nose jobs often being the worst offenders. Why? Why?

Hmm well… taking into consideration the influence of western media, Hollywood practically set the international standard on “beauty.” It makes sense for non-western people to feel inclined on the idea of becoming more “western,” so they go ahead and do it now that they are financially and technologically viable. It makes sense to follow through with changing their appearances now since they’ve already adopted their economic system, science and technology, and more recently lifestyle.
Of course there are girls out there with natural looks and can be just as, if not more beautiful, but this “western” look is what is considered “mainstream.”
It’s all just a part of this whole globalization stuff
